More and more products are currently manufactured using recycled materials. Common household items that contain recycled materials include the following:

 

  1. Aluminum, plastic, and glass soft drink containers

  2. Newspapers and paper towels

  3. Steel cans

  4. Plastic laundry detergent bottles

  5. Recycled materials also use new processes, such as reclaimed glass in asphalt for paving roads or reclaimed plastic in carpets and benches for parks or other uses.

Recycled materials are also used in new ways such as recovered glass in asphalt to pave roads or recovered plastic in carpeting and park benches.
